Imagicca, Gujarat's first and India's second-largest theme park, is slated to open in Ahmedabad. Beyond its original location at Khopoli on the Mumbai-Pune highway, Imagicca is now a world-class entertainment theme park, marking the opening of this new milestone of fun and excitement. This 4.56-hectare extension, which is located along the Sabarmati riverside at the eastern end of Atal Bridge, is intended to become a major Indian tourist destination.

The Sabarmati riverbank Development Corporation (SRFDCL) and Pune's Imagicca World are leading this massive project, which will span 45,000 square meters (4.56 hectares) at the eastern end of Atal Bridge on the Sabarmati riverbank. Both parties have already formally approved the project, and once the National Green Tribunal (NGT) gives its approval, work will begin. In the upcoming three to four months, this is anticipated to occur.

Amazing Features and Attractions

The park will combine indoor and outdoor attractions to appeal to guests of all ages.

Top Highlights
  • Thrilling Rides: Visitors can enjoy a Ferris wheel, Drop Tower, and Flying Carousel Ride.
  • Green Spaces: Tiered promenades and lush parks will offer a peaceful environment for relaxation.
  • Food Plazas: A variety of cuisines will be available at vibrant food courts.
  • Children's Play Area: A safe and fun space for younger visitors to enjoy.
  • Unique Zones: The park will house international franchises like KidZania, offering role-playing activities for children, and Dave & Buster's, providing high-tech gaming experiences.

Development of Projects

The theme park is a joint venture between the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation (SRFDCL) and Imagicaa World in Pune. The project, which has a ₹300 crore budget, is pending National Green Tribunal (NGT) permission. After being approved, building will start in three to four months, and the first phase should be finished in eight to ten months. With two stages of development, the park will have a variety of exhilarating rides, a snow park, and food options. The project's land has been leased for 30 years at a rent of ₹45.60 lakhs per year, with an annual increase of 10%. Furthermore, Imagicaa will give SRFDCL 12.25% of its yearly profits.

Increasing Tourism in Ahmedabad

Atal Bridge receives 3 million visitors a year from Ahmedabad. By providing a distinctive entertainment destination, the new theme park hopes to entice visitors to stay longer. M. Thennarsan, a municipal commissioner, emphasized the park's function as a recreational area for both residents and tourists.

Plans for Future Expansion

For the next five years, Imagicaa Group intends to open one theme park annually, focusing on Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. With an investment of ₹200 crore, a new park is planned for Indore, after Ahmedabad.
